Guys Weekend

Hi all, wanted to get some ideas for places to consider. I have a younger brother in the Wilson/Wheeler Lake area. We live out of state & want to travel to spend some time with him in a guys weekend. Cabin camping is preferred near fishing waters, but open to other lodging for us. Although we may not fish, when would be a good time to try for the spawn?

The Alabama river is a beautiful place. I would suggest the Prattville to Selma area, and Millers Ferry area. Dont know of any cabins on the lake, there may be some, I just don't know of any. Alot of hotels close by though. Last of March first couple of weeks in April is always a good time there.

Guntersville Lake....Guntersville State Park....they have cabins not as pretty as before the tornado.
