Does anyone know how the crappie are on the Illinois Bayou?
Welcome to crappie.com. I have not heard any good reports from Dardanelle and rumors of fish coming from there may be a"SMOKE" screen. I see you are not too far from there. Today would be a good day to check. If you have time, run over and fish it and let us know how you do. A pm would be OK. Remember fish do not like to go hungry and will bite everyday if you put the bait on its nose, however on some days, a crappie nose may be hard to find. It has been rumored that on some days a crappie will even bury their nose up in the mud on the lake bottom. At the present, Dardanelle is running a close second to Maumelle in being the dead sea.
