Overs and unders?
Feeling too lazy to look it up. What exactly are the measurements for overs and unders and does it apply to all lakes and what is the limit on crappie. Never crappie fish in Illinois waters but I see that term used and am curious to sizes being caught.

There is no state size or creel limit on crappie in Illinois. Any limit is lake specific. Rend lake is 25 fish no more than 10 can be over 10"

Shelbyville limit is 10-10" and over and 5 under 10". All lake set their size and creel limits. Some lake don't have either. You can catch as many as you want to clean and any size.

The toughest fish to measure is one that is 10 inches long. Make sure when measuring a fish that you try to push and make it as short as possible and then if it is still over 10 inches, then you are good to go. I've seen guys hold a fish up to the board with it's mouth open and say"Yep over", when if they would shut it's mouth and pinch the tail together, it would never be 10 inches. One extra fish is not worth the price of a ticket.
