The question has been asked to me and I'm not worthy to answer for fear that if the colors I suggest don't work I would not be able to live down the shame:Rofl....but anyway here is my pick for pushing... black jighead( tipped with minnow-TWM) blue black jiffy jig TWM,bright orange head bubble gum grub TWM, it goes on but my point is knowing the time to change to what and when and when I might change the next guy might have changed several times. Who knows..... We fished with minnows sat and sun with no luck . The water was stained pretty bad so we switched to BG mo glo scent wigglrs ghost and picked up fifty fish . :dono

I'd have to see what the mighty Earl Kitchens had to say before I made my final decision, in fact I'd see what common colors bigfishhead, golf pro, Spider-Man, and country time had to say. And only after that would I dare to try and suggest a color. That's several years of trial and error by some mighty good crappie fisherman. But Detailman is correct crime dog would be a good start.
There is no color that is better on Oconee because there is not any fish in Oconee because Bigfishheads, Countrytime, GolfPro and Spiderman caught em all out last weekend. I am gonna have to find another lake to fish!

It truly is kind of hard to nail down a particular color when some guys don't ever fish more than three or four colors and others change colors quite often like almost all of the time,but there has to be a predominate jig and grub color for that lake ain't that right Danbo:banghead
