A look back into Feb.

Sitting here snowed in and bored. Thought I'd share some pics and storiesAttachment 153088Broke ice this day to find them. Not any numbers but the fish were quality sized.Attachment 153089Feb fish numbers were not as good as Dec.,but a lot better than Jans. 87 fish harvested in 7 trips. 2 limits in the kayak,2 trips with my son,shared the water with some quality people that love crappie fishing and are willing to share their wisdom. MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. Now that there's enough for the future fry's and personal consumption its time to hone my jig fishing skills.Attachment 153091Heres a few to start with. My last couple of trips have been jigs only. I think that I'd like to round out the rest of my season with jigs.Its going to be tough as i prefer minnows and the majority of my harvest came from them. I will also be releasing the future fish I catch unless there's someone else fishing with me and wants to keep some. The spawn is about to occur and you know what that means. Really nice pics, the last one is very nice. I feel so small as when there is a beautiful sun rise or set. What a wonderful world this is. Like your jigs also. Is that buck you tied with? I have some tails that a fellow gave me and I cured them. Just got to get off the rear end and tie. i haven't been up on the lake in a while, I need to get up there.

Thanks for all the reports this winter. This has been the first winter I barely wet a hook. With me being a plumber and all the frozen and burst pipes it seemed winter will never quit!!!! I'm like Tapout I fish almost every weekend and thanks to you and Vic and did help me get through this winter. Next year I will be fishing the chick more often. Great report and pictures
