Just wondering how many folks on here shoot docks on Conway. With all the docks in that lake, it seems like it might be an option. I've pitched a jig or two to the few docks in the pool and pulled a couple of fish off them, but most of the fish I've seen caught back there are coming from submerged brush. Anyone shoot on other parts of the lake with any success?
when i think of shooting docks i think of docs with at least 2-3 ft of air space under them which you don't see very often on conway. i have caught fish around docs but can't say i've done much slinging.
conways docks are not very good for shooting in my opinion, most of the docks are in the shallows and not very big also to close to the water , just not the best for shooting like other lakes such as horseshoe or chico , docks on these lakes can be a hundred feet long or more and 75-100 ft wide, in some cases , they also have 5-15 ft deep water in them ,allot of shade and allot of cover

Thanks for the explanation Crappie Greg. I was just curious about it, as it seems to be a really popular technique for some folks, but I never see anyone doing it there. Also, I'm just trying to think of anything other than bumping boats in the cove at Gold Creek to catch a few papermouths.
I find it really hard to believe that every crappie in Conway is in one fishing hole. Bermuda has its triangle. Conway has its rectangle I guess.
that rectangle is about to go dry by the end of the month you wont be able to find one in there with a stick of dynamite!!Quote:
