Pembroke 3-2-14
Got to get off the funny farm today and hit the water. But been dragging from a lot of yard work Saturday so I went somewhere close by. It was slow and I had to work at them but managed to catch 20 crappie. Kept 18. Had 25 or 30 misses and lost 8 right at the boat. Also caught a bream and a bass. fished from 8am to 5 pm. long time in between bites but I had a great time and for once in my life and probably never again, Where ever I fished, the wind would stop blowing and would blow where I was previously. usually its a gale force in my face all day but the wind gods were watching me today. Most of the crappie were in the 9 to 10" range but I did manage a 13" crappie that weighed 1.6 pounds. It pulled like a freight train. I had a blast. Here are some pics.

The wind was blowing hard most of the afternoon but as You can see in the pics, not hardly a ripple on the water. Around the curves and the creek was almost white capping. I took these pics while the bite was really slow and these were the unproductive but pretty areas. He he he.CF
