Monroe Crappie
Does anyone fish Monroe for Crappie? Ive tried Patoka and struggle to catch anything with size. Hoping to find somewhere to take my daughter that we can catch some decent fish, dont have to be trophies, but would like a keeper here or there!! Maybe its me? Lookin for input

if you go to Monroe go to Cutright ramp go around marina and then right up into Saddle creek. should be able to find some good spots there

Go get a "hot spot" waterproof lake map of Monroe, and study where the timber used to stand,,underwater,,a lot of it is still there,,and the stump beds too. Crappie can be caught all over the lake. Moore Creek as well as Saddle Creek are 2 of my fav. spots,,but,,I catch crappie up Pine Grove, all up and over above Cutright as well. Easy to long line and troll grub baits, rooster tails, curley tail baits, crank baits as well as minnow fishing spots. Watch where others are fishing and learn what they are using also. Same for Patoka,,a hot spot map. Read the backs of them even as everything is numbered. Its a good start tho. with the Saddle Creek Info and Moore Creek is also a walleye hotspot as well.

I used to rent a boat at cutright years a go for 10 bucks a day and troll purple rooster tails along the bank to saddle creek the channel follows the bank their for a while I figure it would still work
