Question on being able to plan with Insight map

I just got a Lowrance HDS Touch 7 this xmas. I am currently only using the built in mapping. Is there a way to be able to access / download the map to a PC so I can look over lakes I am going to visit? I see there is a product named Lowrance Insight Planner but it is not clear if that works for the lake maps since they mostly mention coastal and navigation usage. If that does work for lake maps also, how again do you get the data off the Touch unit?
