Hey everyone, just found this new 2013 listing of "Fish Consumption Advisories" for the state of AL at the ADPH (AL Dept of Public Health) site. Looks like our favorite target the crappie is pretty clean off the hit list. This is a good 5 page listing by body of water.

they didnt put it in there, but you can't eat the fish in logan martin. they make you fishing crazy and spend to much money!
Crappie and Gills have a short life span compared to other species, they're usually good even if there's a warning for Bass. Thanks for sharing, I usually eat Crappie with my family once a week.

Good report thnx Bob.I have always been hesitant to eat any fish coming from the water shed around the Redstone area..
What I don't understand is, is that a complete list of all fish consumption advisories across the state of alabama? or is that merely an update on the bodies of water where consumption advisories have changed? I don't see logan martin or lay lake on there, and I know for a fact there are still PCB issues and other contaminants in the water there. Anyone have any idea?
