upgrade to big battery help

I have a 2006 Yamaha T60 O/B with the original battery and it's time for a new one. According to the owners manual the suggest a battery with
CCA 380
MCA 502
RC 124

But if I want to upgrade my battery to ensure better support of my new electonics with external antenna and NMEA backbone kit, running lights, cabin lights, bulge. This battery is NOT for the trolling motor. So what is a suggested upgrade I should be looking for. For added info I use this motor for trolling at 1 to 3 mph, basically idle all day. Don't know if that matters or not for proper charging of the battery while the motor is in use.

The owners manual gives the minimum requirements for a battery. You can put a bigger one in safely. Most people do.

Depends on what you want to spend. For about $210, you can get an AGM marine battery from Sears (34M) that has over 850 CCA, good reserve minutes, and you can run the thing upside down or sideways if you want. I think this used to be called the PM-2. I replaced my original wet cell with this one and it's been great. Runs my SI, etc, and turns over my 225 without fail in below freezing weather.

fished-out, $210 is a little hit to the wallet but I sure like the idea of not dealing with a wet cell batteries. I keep seeing good things about the Sears batteries come up on this link. I may have to stop being a mizer and just open up the wallet and get the 34M. if it last for 5 years thats about $42 a year without worry and maintenance.

I have a group 29 from wally world on mine. It'll run three depth finders, two LSS units, the aerator and still start my 90 with no problem.

I've got 2 AGM trolling motor batteries that have lasted 7 seasons--and I tournament fished. I had a wet cell starter before, which lasted 3 years. The AGM starter has now lasted 4 years. I keep them all hooked up to an on-board charger year round and I'm located in Ohio too.

These newer electronics need more power than when the older manuals were written.

Fished-out, just to verify and make sure I have my head screwed on right. You have 1 onboard charger and have it hooked up to both your starting and trolling batteries and this works because they are both the AGM correct. I have an onboard for my trolling battery and I know it has a little chip that has to be installed depending on wet cell or glass matt (AGM). Are both Batteries deep cycle or deep cycle and a CCA starting.

P.S. I mostly fish Deer Creek and Alum, Central Ohio
