Rice Fiield canals, culverts, and ditches. 2/23/14

Decided to change things up a bit and leave the boat at home due to the weather. Gave old Shallow Runner a call and planned a strategy. He started on one side of the parish and I on the other. We caught a few hear and there. We met up in the middle At the last spot he caught the sac in the picture. He had to leave before dark. Not 5 minutes after he left I had one of the most furious feeding frenzies for about 15 minutes. Caught 32 sacs. I am going back Friday with a lantern and my under water light.

Y'all do any wading or just fishing from the bank?

Way to go Saute. Just what I needed some local encouragement. I was beginning to wonder where Shallow Runner was and getting a little worried as it's been a while since he checked in here. Glad to see he hasn't forgotten about the sacs.

Bank. No way I would get in the water this time of year. Just wait when they spawn. I am bringing a canoe there next weekend.

He has been doing the dog trial thing. He has been passing too. We need to get together I want to go back with my canoe aren't you at a yak fisherman Hey is anyone having keyboard issues posting?

Yep I only fish from a Kayak. If you have a canoe I would love to get together.
