lake brewer
Going to hit lake brewer tomorrow or monday morning depending on when i get home from work. I know where some piles are in 16 ish ft of water near some creek channels. Yall crappie pros recommend starting there or should I try shallow? No idea what the fish are doing out there. If it were u. Where would you start. Thanks.

I would start on the piles. Haven't heard of a very good report lately.

Lake is still pretty low.
-
Current level is 323 and full pool is 330.
-
Water water temps bringing fish up shallower everywhere my guess.

Havent been out there all year. If lake is low then its about how it used to be before they raised the level. With water at full stage it becomes so hard to find the fish what with all the structure on the bank. Gettin to em becomes the real problem with all the brush

Hard lake to fish when it's up. Only place I've found 'em is on those brush piles out in lake. If the tops are visible, that's great. If not, hard to find. I just 'stroll' around the tops till I find the exact spot, then I fish the heck out of that spot. They always seemed to turn on for a while, off for a while, so sometimes if you leave a top and come back later, it produces again. Trouble is, the lake is small and there are usually 100 boats and 100 tops!!! So you can't move for fear of losing it. I've talked to folks that caught 'em when nothing else works there, by trolling very slow in middle.

start off on the deepest brush you can find then go shallower if necessary

Thanks Greg. I know some deep brush out there that will prolly be good. Lake is low but looks awesome. Reminds me of the old days before they raised the level. Wind was terrible so i never even launched the boat. Hit the cadron at shaw bridge. Never got a darn bite. But i got to enjoy a couple hours on the water with my gf and one of my duck dogs. My pup was waitin on that thump but it never came

Buckrub ive fished for bass out there for years. Tons of tops on that lake for sure. I never have much trouble with too many boats usually. I have tons of tops marked on my bird from the bass fishin days. Ill start there. New to crappie haha used to be a bass only guy
