Elberton Ga bound
Well, got my partner lined up for the Crappiefest and we decided we did not want to make that early morning drive so we are coming down on that Friday to check out the lake and spend the night at the Days Inn in the sprawling metropolis of Elberton.
OK one of you locals, what is the go to place for a good meal on Friday night?? Course if you are having a fish fry we just need directions to your house. :Rofl

Phoenix for chinese, Lafogota for Mexican, Zaxbys, KFC, and burger joints.

No Mom and Pop home cooking or fish fry places?? Well, haven't had Chinese in a while. might give it a shot.
Thanks.

We have a Red Minnow around 3 miles out of town off Hwy 77 North. It's buffet and has practically everything on the bar, including fried catfish. I think it costs $12-$15 a person. I havent been in years cause the wife says it's greasey, but I didnt think so. Theres also a take out BBQ stand along the main drag. It's good BBQ and GREAT sauce...but like I said it's takeout only. Then there's Ingles which has a couple different meats cooked along with veggies. You pick and they serve. You get a BIG plate for @ $5. The fried chicken there is probably the best in town IMO.

That is what I was trying to remember, the Red Minnow. We used to camp with a club at Calhoun Falls and we drove to the Red Minnow to eat. I had forgotten where it was, I was following others and not sure where we went. Ingles sounds like a good choice too.
Thanks
