This is the song that doesn't end ......
So I waited for the 1199 to come out. It was late but I was patient. It got here along with all the other equipment like extra transducer and switch. Get it all hooked up. First time out, about 30 min into fishing, the sucker went black screen. Course it was late Friday eve so I couldn't call humminbird till Monday. They were very nice, gave me an email with a return label from fed ex. Took two days to find a place that would pick up fed ex around here. About four days later they got it. Three days later they worked on it and said they had it fixed. New circuit board. Four days later I got it back. Hooked it up and some of the views didn't work. Called humminbird. They were very nice. Put me on hold for a little while and came back. Said it was a software issue and they were aware of it. Had me hide some views and it worked. Went fishing and after about an hour it couldn't find any views other than GPS. Called humminbird. They were very nice. Put me on hold and came back on line. Said I'd have to send it in. Sent me a return. Four days later they got it. One day to work on it. Four days later (last Wednesday) I got it back. Fished for about an hour and a half. It went black screen. I called humminbird. This time they weren't quite so nice. Wanted me to buy an extra battery to test my battery against, get a tester to test voltage etc. I said I ain't a gona do it. If you want to hire the boat place to test this stuff I'll take it there.
They are supposed to be sending me a new unit. You have no idea how frustrating this is.
