I talked with Do-It mold. Ultra Shad, Walleye jig mold, tear drop........all can go into a production style if we get interested parties. There break point to put new mold into production is 100. I want no collars on ultra shad. I wanted production molds of tear drops 1/8 and walleye jig mold. I advised Do-It mold I would get some conversation going. Thoughts?

What type of price point would we be looking at? A hundred molds is an awful lot.
Price will not be any different. The 100 is really the number needed for doing business! For them to break into a new mold and have the foundry pour the new style there sales teams likes to know at least 100 molds are sold! The do not have a cash flow concerns in regards to accounting "turns" but this is basically a standard operations process.
The guy kinda said yesterday..."100 people have a 100 ideas but we need to make sure that 100 molds are bought"

That Ultra Shad is an easy fix for no collar. Get some of this and fill in the area you do not want and gently file a hook slot. You may want to add a wire keeper slot for plastic. Pour with or without the wire for tying. I have done a few molds like this and they still pour great after a few years. Jason and Ryan at DoIt are pretty slow about anything. Jacobs would be more likely to put something together for less amounts. Email him your ideas and you might be surprised.

From what I have seen Jacob molds are tough to beat in Quality. Rick puts out an outstanding product.
Trying to find a 100 people that wants just like you want will be tuff to do. Have you checked locally with any tool/die shops. It wont be cheap, building the cad files will be the costly area, not so much the milling.
