cresent lake

I am thinking of going to cresent lake this weekend. What is the size on crappie there? Any motels close by?

It will be almost impossible to find a motel/hotel room anywhere close to Crescent this weekend. Bike Week is starting this weekend in Daytona and everything is booked up for miles around. But the good news is, there is no size limit on Crescent and it has some hawgs in there!!!

TnT, I think race week is starting up this week - Bike week should be around March 7th thru the 16th.

Crescent is always worth a try, I did talk to a guy that fished there last week & said there was a green algae on the water & it was worse on Crescent than it was on Dead Lake. Hopefully that has cleared up, good luck if ya go & let us know how ya do !!

Try the lakeview motel. I fished it today. it is very slow.

My cousin and her husband fished Crescent the last 4 days. They did manage several 2+ lb fish but said that the bite was slow. The females were still full of eggs. The temps the next few days oughta push those fish to shallower water.
