Got the unit late yesterday evening and due to snow and temps in the 20's this morning it's still in the box! Is this weather ever going to let up? Would like to have it going by this afternoon, calling for temps in the 40's.

This is the one that I am looking at. Keep us updated as to how it performs.
Please give us a report on how the internal GPS functions...
Chart updates...
Digital speed...especially at slower speeds...
Obvious differences from the 998 GPS function...
Also try to get a screenshot of the GPS status page ...while out in normal fishing conditions...

Took it out yesterday for the first time. Unit is fast to pull up and did not see anything that would suggest lag time in GPS my opinion, pulled over several waypoints from the 898 and TM right to them in this cove while on the 859.
Spent the afternoon just learning the unit and going through the settings. Way to early to give a review on but going back out this afternoon. I went to a 20' fow cove and anchored down over a brush pile. Not worried about catching fish just learning the unit for now. A lot more clutter than I'm used to on my 898 sonar and did not seem as sharp, was able to clear it up some before the rain hit.
Going back out this afternoon for another run. I'll get some vid and unit recordings of it.
rnvinc I'll work on getting you that info. Maybe in the recording I get you and others can give me some tips.
