I decided to dig through my box of duck feathers to try something a little different. I came up with this. I'll get to digging around some more over the weekend. Attachment 150895

I need to get some duck feathers. That looks great.

Thanks. I end up with more duck feather than I know what to do with. I have Rubbermaid tubs of em. I started using gadwall feathers about twelve years ago when I started tying and have used the quills for legs on shrimp patterns for flies. I felt like looking around for something different and grabbed a hand full of greenwing teal feathers.
That looks great addict. I sent some duck feathers out to everyone in the last jig swap as a bonus so your post is timely. Should give folks an idea or two. Nice tie.
Interesting feather there, not a lot like that one! Looks good too!
Nice tie
Nice tye and nice tying work. :ThumbsUp
I guess my finger weren't in tune with my head when I was typing the title. Anyway. Thanks! I thought I'd try something like this for the contrast. The teal feathers are fairly small so I used them just for the tail for this one. I have some Pintail and some blue winged teal that I'm gonna play with next.
Good looking jig!
