Baton Rouge area..

So it's been a long time since I have went crappie fishing.. Like I said in boat post my grandparents had a camp at old river and use to love catching them sac's under that floating fishing pier.

I absolutely live for redfish but I went to MS an went fishing with a crappie fanatic and I got hooked.. Lol ..

I have a lot to learn and no nothing from a boat. If I wanted to start somewheres close to BR where would I go?

I have a friend who built my boat who I'm going to see if he has time to take me but just looking for some more info and help.. Thanks in advance

You always have the Basin which isn't that far from BR.

Lake Verrett......Old River (Morganza).........Henderson.....Bayou Pigeon and all the spillway....all the rivers East of BR.......don't even think of going to False River....
