Couple Roadrunners
I the the same jig over and over for a guide friend and it's a color I got him to try when he was using some other colors all the time and even a different weight. He always used 1/16, but this one was 1/32 and with a Cinnamon Body and Purple hackle tail. Well after making these for him and others for years it kind of hit me that maybe I should try that color or close on a Roadrunner. I have never tried this color combo even though I have tied it for 10 years at least, LOL! Then I even added a little Chart in the Purple tail on the next one. So what do you guys think?

Skip you know I don't tie, lol, but to me those are fine keepers! I do like the primary color combo and the chart. is just icing on the cake bud!

You are a true artist. Excellent work. I'd hate to throw them in the water.

Skip, the bottom one speaks out and says Happy Mardi Gras. Throw me sumptin Mista.

Thanks guys! The one I was trying to get close to without using regular chenille did use just that, but to me this looks close to the Ginger or cinnamon some call it. I also made them with Ginger with Gold Crystal in them, but he always said they both work good. He even fishes the little 1/32 oz jigs in deep water in summer type pattern.
i just want to see what happens in my shallow water fishing.

Skip, they look great! Looks like a little warm weather will be starting. Maybe you'll get em wet before long. I know they're gonna put em in the boat!
