Last Saturday on Jordan and yesterday on a private lake in Alamance County, the crappie that were biting were deep. 26 to 28 feet of water. We caught 14 yesterday in 3 or 4 hours on drop shots w/plastic jigs just a couple of feet off the bottom. Clear water and translucent colors..
I saw an episode of Hank Parker last week and he was crappie fishing on Norman with his son. It was during cold weather and they were drop shotting on a point near a bridge. I've never been on the lake, so you will need the local guys to help with tips.
