I made the trip to Harris yesterday since it was supposed to be nice weather. It was my first trip since they put in the new ramps. They did a great job with that! Not too many boats, despite the weather, and we headed for some spots in the main lake that have been productive in the past. 5 minutes in we get a good bite and I set the hook. I new right away it wasn't a crappie. Turned out to be a 3 lb. Flathead. About 30 minutes later, Lonnie caught a nice 12 inch crappie. Then it was about an hour before the next one, but it was a nice fat 11 inch fish. Long story short, the sun came out, the wind picked up and the fish never really turned on. We quit around 1:00 with 4 crappie and the one catfish. All were released for another day. I saw other guys fishing for crappie, but I didn't see them catching either. Water temp was around 40 -42 degrees.
