Minn Kota Talon on reelfoot

I have been looking at the Minn Kota talon to use for fishing on reelfoot and was wondering if there was anyone that has tried them yet there for boat control. I have tried the anchor dragging and wind socks and still get pretty frustrated with that. Any help would be appreciated.
