shallow water side imaging

Does anyone have experience using side imaging to explore shallow (10 ft+/-) shorelines with structure, boat houses, docks etc. I like to shoot docks as well as going after bedding bream and shellcrackers and did not know if s/i would work in water this shallow. Most of the information and screen shots I have seen has been of deeper, open water and am not sure how s/i would work in this for this method of fishing Any experience or actual screen shots would be appreciated.

The humminbird 998 works well in shallow water and i am sure other units do well also

Cant wait to try it out this spring on bedding gills. Just got mine back in the fall so after seeing some of the guys shots of beds, some of them with fish in them I'm excited for spring!

Would like to hear from the guys with more time on their units in reference to shooting under docks. Friend of mine was teaching me to shoot docks and it would be great to run the docks to see those fish in the water column and narrow my search time down.

Maybe some will chime in with px and tips. Should be a great learning thread once they get started :ThumbsUp

those pictures are snapshots from the unit.i also have humviewer installed on my computer.its a good program to use also.....i upload snapshots to photo bucket and when when i want to post them here i copy the image code of the picture that i want to share and paste it here.you should be able to right click on picture and go to photo bucket and see all pictures that i have there.ive got quite a few there.
