Kill switch and life vest

I don't understand wanting to go 70 MPH in a boat but good video to prove the point of a kill switch and life vest.

I don't understand it either. I don't know the guy who was in the boat, but my personal opinion is that he is an idiot and is lucky he is still around. If I am not mistaken you can be ticketed in SC for jumping wakes like he did.
I can tell you this, I would never get in a boat that was operated like this.

I don't get it either. But I have seen the result of those 250's running balls out on Sardis. Ain't pretty. 20 mph will get you dead. 70 will get you dead quicker.

That guy was just asking for it.

This video was on the Ross Barnett Rez, near where DD lives, I agree, I personally don't see the need to go this fast in a boat either, just one little slip up is all it takes to change your life forever, you can run across wakes from another boat before you have time to react. The guy was lucky for sure because it looks like it threw him in the water right beside the prop of the motor.

see that one long ago--the guy didn't know what he was doing and wasn't paying attention.

I was ejected this fall from a War eagle 542 with a 25hp. The water was shallow and I wanted to stay up on plane. I rounded a corner and the boat began to slide, then dug in on the up current, outside edge. EJECTED. The kill lanyard was in use and a life jacket as well. Fortunately all I got was wet with a little hurt pride. It can happen quicker than you think. I've been running a small boat for 42 years and it has never happened until last fall.
