Time to change lines
I've used clear blue Trilene XL on all my fishing reels for over thirty five years.
I have been using 6# XL on my trolling reels for about three years and it seems to be breaking easily when tying knots so it is time to change the lines. I'm thinking about trying a bulk spool of Bass Pro Shop's High-Viz 4#.
I've been using Vicious 6# Hi-Viz on my dock shooting reel but have been thinking about trying 4# High-Viz Trilene Nanofil.
I would like to hear what whoever has used those lines thinks about them before I change over.

The Crappie maxx hi viz 6lb for longlining rods is tough to beat!!! cheap and strong! 4 lb vicious hi viz for dock shooting...Limp..low memory...
That Nanofil will break ya if it's the same stuff I tried...Like Micro Braid...polomar knot or Nano fill knot is only thing you can tie too.

What he said...I use Mr.Crappie #6 for long lining and its ALOT stronger than its rated for!!!

I assume you mean berkley nanofil. I just bought some and it is no where near as limp as other braids causing alot of slack in line that negates the sensitivity. I shoot docks alot and for braid by far the best I've found is fireline fused crystal in 2 lb. I am still expiermenting between that and Mr. crappie hi-vis in 4 lb. to see if the difference in being able to see bites better is better than feeling them better. For now my money is on the fireline as if there is any wind it negates the visibility advantage. By the way in strength 2 lb. fire line is at least equivelent to 6 lb. mono if not more.

Anyone besides me notice that the Mr. Crappie 6 lb test is thinner than it used to be…and the bulk spools have less line on them!

I use the nano line and I like it a lot. I have never had a issue with loops or tangles with it. It is very expensive and I use it for dock shooting. It would be expensive to use on all the trolling lines. Wes
