Went to walkers dam around noon yesterday. Lake was half frozen but the river was clear except some chunks of ice. Tightline with minnows and slow jigged BGBS blue ice. As I said it was slow. Caught 6. 2 crappie on minnows rest on jig. One small ringer. Biggest bout 12in. weighed a pound though.
That is the best report I saw about yesterday. So far, it looks like you caught more than anyone else!
I too was there at the dam. Did you get away before the winds shifted? That howling wind caught me and my wife by total surprise.
The wind was blowing around the bend just below the dam. I stayed right around the dam and the wind wasn't that bad. I only saw 2 boats that day and no one stayed too long fishing where we were. Looks like we were the only ones who caught anything. Heck I didn't even have a fish finder and we caught fish.
