Miller's Lake 1-21-2014

Went to Millers Lake near Ville Platte Monday morning. The lake opens up again after duck season closes. 3 of us in my boat. I only caught one fish, a green trout, about 2 lbs. jigging around the trees. Talked to 4 or 5 boats. Nobody had a fish. the water is gin clear and only 2 feet deep in most places. One of the locals that fishes the lake regularly says we're a little early. I seem to always miss the spawn, because they spawn so early over there. Will try again next week.

At least you got to go. I was stuck at work. Thanks for the report. I have never done good at Millers but in all fairness, I only fished it once. Did catch some BIG chick a pen there though!
