Has anyone seen the frabill straight line reel? It looks similar to the mr.crappie solo reel. It looks like it would be great to use on a jig pole fishing 12ft or less. Google it for more info and description. Just wondered if anybody has one?

It's a nice looking reel but I think overboard for jigging. If you're gonna use it on a jigging pole it's main purpose is to hold line where in ice fishing which they are made for you have to let out line and wind in the fish. I'm sure it would work just great but they're twice the price of the Solo reels.

I have 3 of those Solos and can't imagine owning anything else ever, but who knows the future.
Solo reel is what I use. Love it
Looks more beefy than most crappie reels. I say go for it. Main purpose is to land the fish, most today's basic crappie reels tear up too easy. I got away from em.
I have been wondering how the Solo would work as a Fly Rod reel
I got a Solo reel for my Golden Shiner Award and I love it. I caught my first fish in my new boat with the Solo reel on my BnM ultra lite rod last week in Chicot. It was a dam green trout, however.
I wish I could find a solo reel haven't had any luck around Bossier or Shreveport. Academy or Bass pro.
Sinergy $15 and they work. Just giving another option. I have about 20 of them.
