Minnkota I- Pilot Trennova

I spoke with the Minnkota Rep and it today my had some concerns on my I-Pilot not staying on spot lock that Would drift from 3 to 10 foot away before would finally come back on the target. He said unfortunately that's the closest and the best that GPS can work under those circumstances there's no other way to get it to hold up to the closer target. So I-Pilot users know that it is not you or you doing something wrong or the equipment doing something wrong that's just the best that we are going to get with this version! I hope this information helps you to sleep more soundly buying this of expensive of an Item and watching the commercials and the YouTube videos but that's it!!

They can't hold you any closer than GPS can locate. They really don't work good for shallow water cause they tend to rev up and wash fish off shallow cover.

Been thinking about buying an i-pilot expensive to be 10' off. Thats not far in some cases and a long ways in others.

kww I would highly recommend jumping in with one of us that have one and getting your feet wet 1st.
Trolling/Guiding - nothing better
One pole jigging or long lining
Not so much the servo has a slow reaction time and is very noisy. Nothing beats the reaction of the cable operated!! My $0.02!!

Shane has it nailed. That being said, I had the opportunity to change when I got another boat. I bought another Terrova.

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan but it's like 1/16 head and 1/8 head
