I like those. Really nice ties. I might even have to get a few and try them myself. Thinking that extra split ring my give more blade action than the pony head.
I am hoping it turn out to be a all around bait.
The only concern I would have is the length with 2 split rings and swivel letting the blade get back into your material on a fast cast and retrieve. Thinking it would be killer under a float where you just twitch it along or single poling or even on a spider rig. That extra movement from the added split ring should really set it off. No doubt it will be a good all around bait.
Really for me I use Roadrunners with a blade, but never need live bait. I only use live bait in the summer for day or night fishing and not with a jig with a blade. I use a double rig with a jig on bottom and a hook above for the minnow so not sure I am a good recourse for using these with live bait. For me in spring I see no reason to ever need a minnow or any live bait as I catch all I can stand just with my little roadrunners. I hate having to use minnows anytime so will never use them in spring or fall! I also find that most of he time when using that double rig that he bigger crappie come on the jig a lot more than what come on the minnow, probably 80% of the time.
Does anyone know where I can get some of those in a 1/32 oz with a #6 sickle?
My mold only go down to a 1/6 buddy
Not sure Va, never looked for them since I am so in love with Roadrunners. I know you can pour some Pony heads with a #6 Sickle hook, but I don't pour my own heads at all. They should be just as good as a jig head with a spinner blade and most likely these kind of heads came to be because of the Pony and Roadrunner style heads.
Look real nice
