Upper End of Wheeler

Just doing some research and thinking about getting into Crappie fishing this year (beginner). Are there many areas +/- 10 miles upstream/downstream from Ditto Landing that hold crappie?

I know it's very narrow and more 'river-like', but was curious if anyone has spent much time fishing this stretch...

I fish is from Ditto landing to Decatur out of a kayak. There's no shortage of Crappie in that area.

The part of wheeler I fish is from ditto to gville dam (approx 15 miles), lots of crappie spots in that stretch. Just gotta go find them! Current breaks are a good place to start :cheers2
