The carper on the floor of my boat needs replaced. What would be good to replace it with and where to get it? I don't want to put carper back in it.

Spray in liner is always an option.
Be careful with not carpet back, you do need anything slippery in there. I hate to hear you went swimming :Rofl
i thought you were a Crappie fisherman not a Carper. I think there is another forum for those like you.:Rofl
I like carpet myself, it dampens noise , non slip surface, and easy to install. Been hearing about spray in liner but not sure how it would look in a nice boat.
Carpet is cooler and spray in liner warmer in hot months. Have had both hard decision. Spray in nice and easy to clean.
Aluminum or fiberglass??
I love carpet myself...cooler in the summer as already said...things don't slide when you drop them...but, you do have to vacuum it...can't really just spray it out. Spray out and not worrying about stains would be nice.
I'm like abh...it would be a toss up.
You might look at Hydroturf. It's a foam-based flooring, but expensive. I went the 'cheap route' and glued exercise mat flooring on my boat 'til I wanted to spend the money for Hydroturf. It's worked out so well that I might keep it.
I put this textured vinyl that they're using in new pontoons now. I got from a guy who works on a lot of aluminum boats. He had it on a big roll and used it alot in aluminum boats. It has a thin felt back thats made for holding the glue. I bought a gallon of commercial grade contact cement and it worked great. Going on 3 years now and still looks like new and sprays right out if I get it dirty. Only problem is the stuff is hard to find in small quantities. I bought 14 linear foot from him and it was like $150. I'll try to load some pics. Attachment 147845Attachment 147846
My excel has sprayed in liner, it is not slippery or Hot and Easy to clean! !!!!
When I got my pro team tracker 175 last year they had option for vynl floor. Guy at dealer said stuff they used had been used in their saltwater boats for years but just recently became factory option. Was extra $200 bucks, but I think it was worth it. Not sure if they sell it or possibly bass pro. I know cabelas had similarly designed product they sold in their catalog. I was pleased with mine. Easier than carpet to clean., cooler in hot months and its textured and actually seemed less slippy than wet carpet can be.
