Newbie Novice!!
Greetings to All,
I been bass fishing Lake Okeechobee for 3 years, and I am getting a little bit bored by thin to none bass bite, especially on artificial bait. I've considered using live shiners but that is terribly expensive for a "poor boy" so I've decided to give the bass chase-in a rest. I do not feel too bad about the slow bass bite, because even at the FLW in February,, there are some guys that pay $2,000 to fish in that tourney and some of them even get skunked.. Long story short, I have NEWLY !! taken up crappie catching ( I hope ) ) in lieu of bass non-catching,,, but admittedly I NEED HELP because i am Novice of the newbies.
I spent the past week re arranging my boat, my rod locker, my lures, and building a 6 place rod holder. Now all i got to do is locate some of them popular slabs, to catch.. Believe it or not I did catch 1 Crappie on a rubber worm when i was bass fishin,, but I am pretty certain that that is not the norm.
Hopefully soon i can be writing a success story here,,, but until then I don't want to be counting any of my chickens or crappies before they are caught. But LORD willing, he may give me better success at this fishing endeavor,,, but even if not I will try to positively discern the "good" he has planned for me in it. Romans 8:28
