Nate's first deer

Many of you have met my oldest son (10yo)
Nate at the Talquin slabfests. He got his first gun, a .243 for Christmas. We hunted hard with no luck until 1-2-14 and finaly on an evening hunt a nice 5 point stepped out. It took him a minute to find the deer in the scope. Then he said "Im on him" BOOM! Deer still standing there. We loaded another bullet in the chamber, "ok Im on him again" BOOM! The deer ran off but after a lot of prayers and a little bit of searching we found his prize. We were both on cloud 9!
