No bite ?

Man I've stunk ! I'm stumped. I've fished about everywhere on wheeler this winter. Same o'l routes that I followed crappie for years and nothing. My own structures I've sunk to stumps and brush piles, that I fished for years. The right moon phases, water flow, and water clarity. I caught 5 off a brush pile in 4 ft of water last week. They were only legal sized, but I hooked 3 of them in the nose. They acted like they were huge.Like they just wouldn't come off there structure.
Been a unusual winter to say they least. Anybody got some suggestions ?:banghead

The few times I have got to go I have had the same results. Its just not normal. But as they say how do you define 'normal'.
