today's update from Glen Elder, be careful guys!!!
ICE UPDATE: As of Tuesday, January 7th there is questionable ice west of the causeway and there haven't been many anglers out over the past couple of days. The strong winds over the weekend opened up several holes out west and the Boller boat ramp is actually wide open. Boats can be launched, but can only go about a quarter mile west or north. I would highly recommend not ice fishing now as there is just too much questionable ice at this time. Other areas like Mill Creek also have open water holes scattered throughout and it does not look safe either. The best options for ice fishing now include the marina docks and the trout pond.
