Sycamore S.P.

We took a drive the other day to find the fishing lakes at Sycamore S.P. in Montgomery County. The kids/family lake is easy to get to, but it appears that the main pond is a pretty good hike down a steep hill from the only parking area we found. Does anyone know a better way to access the lake? We've heard there are some good fish in there, and if it's as hard to get to as it would appear, probably under-fished.
If we ever get ice, wed like to give it a try, but my other half is less than thrilled at the prospect of hauling a sled back up that hill to the truck.
