A coworker was switching boxcars in Hattiesburg and got run over. He got his leg and the fingers of one hand cut off. The fingers were crushed and couldn't be saved but doctors at UAB in Birmingham sewed the toes from the severed leg onto his hand. They used leaches to suck out the old blood from the toes until his body could get the circulation working in his new fingers. He's doing good now.
