Anyone poor a 1/12oz jig head for tying?
I can't remember right now and am not at home or I could tell you the right one, but I think its 1/16 that usually when actually put on a scale will be 1/12! Most jig heads do not weigh what the mold says and I have weighed lots of them. I am pretty sure that most weigh more than stated!
I have been told that the 1/16 oz minnow heads that I sell actually weigh 1/12 oz. My little postal scale is not that accurate or I am not smart enough to figure out how to make it tell me. LOL
I use a digital scale and it's good! Most are more than 1/16oz!
Never weighed any but the difference is minimal. When I want one a little heavier I used a collared head and cut off the barb and tie on that. The 1/24 fits this category for me also but the folks like and want them. Yet another Ford/Chevy thing maybe.
I know from another person that if you take a 3/32nd oz. Walleye Head jig and cut the collar off if weighs in at 1/12th. There's more but I'd have to find them, there's a thread about this on JC.com
Here's a 1/12oz jig Ron Don pours.

ive never put them on the scale but they seem to be a bit heavier than a 1/16oz.
Yes. And it's about as close as I've seen to a 1/12th, BUT he doesn't and won't sell them anymore.
Smile, Ronny!
Morning Guys...confirmed yesterday with Ronnie......not pouring currently. May try nightprowler on here. Have purchased different style heads from him in the past
Believe these were 3/32 with barb.......have not weighed them without the barb....
