Saturday-41 and raining at the ramp, dink, dink dink
I fish every weekend unless there is an ice storm or lightening so I headed out to Suffolk today and tried my best, and while I managed 37 crappie, most were around 9". Having been 79 yesterday and north winds today gusting to 17 didn't help. I really couldn't establish any kind of pattern. My first crappie was 11" and came right up to the surface to hit my jig but it was the only decent one. Most were caught 8'-12' down in deep water. I had to switch up to 1/32oz and had most my luck with a small pearl BGBS imitation jig. I showed surface water temp at 50.
