I'm 40ish but Dec 7 is a day I always remember. my Grandma always wore a broche/pin that was silver and had a pearl on it that read;
Remember (the pearl) Harbor.
She ALWAYS wore that pin on this day and told the story of where she was when her family heard about the attack on the radio and about her bother who went to war and was killed in action.
Brenda and I watched the History Channel this morning about Pearl. Had some recordings of some of the survivors. Emotional commentaries.
Wonder what the kids are being taught in school about Pearl?
So sad, but it got us into the second world war! Before that, the people didn't want to send their kids to be killed, but Pearl Harbor and all the great pro GI movies of the time made us all patriotic?
We kicked butt! And the "war machine" made a lot of money, and the population went down a bit! 300M in US is way too high, America would peak with about 100M ...... good fishing for everybody, and lots of freshwater and oil? ..... it was good for the economy!
All good, the economy went up, America became the only super power. We were war building for two years prior to Pearl Harbor! We wanted it to happen, we put our best war ships in the ocean ready for war! Every patriot wanted to kill those dirty Japs!! all pre-planned?
Nobody wants a World War 3, but we have had a war every year since WW2? I think that we should bomb the Middle East countries soon ....... and take all the oil!
If I was younger, I would become a "war machine" guy, Halliburton, etc., maybe even better than a hedge fund guy? I could quote the Bible and become a high paid "Sky Pilot"? God wants us to kill all the people who worship a different God? "My God is better than your God"
Don't you moderators make me quote the Bible? or move this post?

I live about 5 min from the Arizona Memorial and Pearl Harbor. I went by there this morning on my run and its an amazing site that every American should visit.

I test the EIFS on Bill M's house every other year, he quite a character and I'm amazed at the shape he's in both mentally and physically. I consider it an honor to know him.
