Never seen a crappie try to eat a fish that large.

I wish they would eat allot more of them. I remember one time we cleaned some larger yellow bass and the had baby Crappie in their guts. I hate Yellow bass wish the AGFC would eliminate the little suckers if they could.
Doubt that is possiable even if they wanted to.They are native to the Arkansas river , we are lucky as Nimrod has none. My buddies say the Yellow Bass are good to eat if ya catch some big enough. Tell people to eat them out of existance.:twocents :RoflQuote:

Nope but I was tearing up the crappie one day and heard a thud under the boat.. I looked over the side and saw a crappie struggling, thought it was one i released so I went to either get water through the gills or keep it to eat and found this.
Also caught a citation yellow perch on a 3 inch yellow perch.
Another time I Dip netted a live herring, caught a yellow perch while reeling him up I had a 22.5" bass swallow it... Got him in the boat too!
