I have a new to me 14ft Monarc deep v. Love the boat but once the water turns to a medium chop (2ft waves) it turns into a soak machine. I was looking at spray rail options but those from Smart Rails and Taco are a bit too expensive. Anyone know of any other brands/ homemade options that may work?? Today was 40d with 40d water temps. I had full Gore Tex but the head is still exposed to the spray and it was not fun.

I've seen fiberglass boats where guys use that PVC molding from the big Home stores. I'd guess as long as you can get under any decks in the boat you could bolt that on.
But I'm not sure there is anything on the market that will stop the spray from a 2' wave coming over a 14' aluminum boat short of having a "dodger" made.
I have a 16 ft deep v tracker with the side console. I have to slow down but in two foot waves I do that already. Does playing with the trim help or shifting weight to the back? A full face helmet as a last resort. Hope you find something
Helmet or save phace. I wear save phace all the time even tho I don't have to deal with spray.
If you have T&T try tilting the motor up just a little to get the bow up. It should help.
If you could get away with buying one 9 foot Smart Rail and splitting it 4 1/2 foot per side, it might be better than a rube goldberg homemade spray rail. You would really need someone to video tape your boat to see where the spray is generated before installing them.
