Deep Freeze Speed Limit/Venison Stir Fry & a Cold One
Hit the water at 3:30PM just as I got in my boat the freezing sleet began to burn my face and hands. I remember thinking boy I hope this is worth the trouble and I also thought WOW!!!! I got the lake to myself. As I ran across the lake I saw a tremendous amount of fish on the sonar in 10-20 feet deep. I cut the motor down lowered the trolling motor and dropped two Chart Jigs on thier heads. No sooner than the Jigs settled did I feel the tall tell THUMP!!!! of a nice crappie. Just as I set the hook on one crappie I felt another thump on the rod in my other hand, and i was soon playing two nice fish into the boat.
This went on and on as I boated my 20th nice keeper plus fish...I looked at my watch and it was 4:25 PM I had boated a honest limit in 55 Minutes. The sleet and wind grew colder and I just smiled and left em bitting...Well until tomarrow anyways.:biggrin
As I walked into the house to tell my wife about the great day...she treated me with a big plate of Venison stir fry and a nice cold Bud as I set down on my couch to catch the Broncos and Patriots. What a great evening.
