A little poetry from CMJ
I posted this on the Contest forum for the Driftmaster rod holder, and I thought I would post it here for your enjoyment. RCC, you really oughta write one up too.
The LOSER
At the end of the day
Before he lays down to dream
Crappie Dot Com pops up on his screen.
Through the accounts of the day
he does tiredly scroll
As he longs for the day
When across his honey-hole he will troll.
Will he cast, will he jig,
Will he go slower, or faster?
Or will he attempt to spider rig
Using his brand new Driftmaster?
The lines, they will tangle
There will be an awful mess
Tackle will become mangled
When he puts his new Driftmaster to the test.
His joy will be short-lived
When all eight rods go down
At the same time when he hits
The new brush pile he's found.
His best he will try
But the best, he will not do.
But when he gets home, he will not cry
For at least he caught a fish or two.
So if to the fishing hole you go
And on the water you see
A man shouting expletives
And breaking rods over his knee
Just troll quickly away
And make not a fuss
Why, it's just 'ole CMJ
For he's not as graceful as the rest of us.
