My wire got cut clean in two. looking for the best price.
Those wires can be spliced back together. They need to have the splices staggered so they will not be side by side. Solder, liquid tape, and shrink wrap individually.....Then shrink wrap the whole thing.
Are there instructions on the web?
There have been instructions posted many times on this board ..... just tried the search function to see if I could find one but nothing comes up. Its easy though....just do it like I posted.
OK....he is a thread about it http://www.crappie.com/crappie/fishi...cer-cable.html I also Googled spliceing transducer cables and found lots of info. Some say it cannot be done others say it can and have done so successfully....just have to seal good with liquid tape and heat shrink which can be found at most auto part stores or Harbor Freight.
Have repaired several, just like G says. Just take your time and make sure it is sealed.
another thread to check out for splicing the transducer cable.
