Great day on the Rez

Went out Saturday about mid morning. Had a friend in town that wanted to try um for a little while. Was very windy but tried a few spots out on the main lake with no luck. Headed up river to just look around but decided to try a spot out of the wind. As soon as we put the poles out the action started! We sat in one spot for the next three hours and caught fish as fast as we could get a minnow in the water. We caught allot of short fish and after throwing several keepers back decided to keep a few to fry up. We ended up keeping 30 but must have caught 75.

Had a bass fishermen come in and ask could he cast along a point over the ledge we were fishing. He said he had won a tournament there the weekend before but hadn't been able to fish it yet because there was another guy crappie fishing before we got there. Since we were fun fishing we said cast away. He was fishing an umbrella rig and he slap wore the bass out right next to us. He was catching bass 3 and 4 at a time. He even caught some slab crappie on it!

Great report Hugh. I sure hope to be back out there in a couple weeks. Got the Motor fixed and the Tm problems figured out. CONGRATS

Hey coach we talked about a spot at camp and I went tried it out caught a few . must have the wrong boat or maybe you were jigging . don't you have the miss state boat . maybe wrong all the way around . wouldn't be the first time . lol
