Trout Derby at Pretty Water on November 2nd

Trout Derby at Pretty Water Lake in Sapulpa on Saturday November 2nd. This is for a great cause and it is also something that my father and I use to do together. Please try and make it out to help support this event.

Well, it’s that time again, time for the annual opening Trout Derby at Pretty water Lake! The trout were stocked on Halloween, and the lake closed for acclimation. It will re-ope...n Saturday morning for the 8 am start of the derby. The derby will run until noon, with hourly prizes for largest trout in both youth and adult categories. There are also ten tagged trout in the lake, and each tag earns a prize. Just bring the tag to the Bait Shop (1/2 mi. west of Pretty Water) where we will have prizes from the Sapulpa Parks Department. The entry fee is $5.00 per person, but free for permit holders (the $5 fee basically covers the one-day permit cost, and goes to help buy more fish).

Trout will be stocked twice a month, and the lake hours for trout season are sunrise to sunset (actual times).



I am also donating a case of Trout Dough Bait to this tourney. I will have two other cases with me. For the first 24 people that tell me that they either say this here or on my shop's facebook page, I will give you a jar of trout dough bait.

Woodworker42 will be my partner on this one. So, come out and see us and help a great support a great event.


One thing to note. Pretty water is a motor restricted lake. You are only allowed to have electric motors on that lake. I have an inflatable Kayak that I can loan someone if they do not have a way to get out away from shore for this one. If you are interested drop me a pm. I will post if the Kayak is being used.

didn't make it out till 11:30. Looked things were pretty much over by then.

I tried to play cut the finger tip off with the trolling motor bracket. We called it quits around 10:00 because my finger started to "THUMP" pretty bad and I think Woodworker got tired of getting blood on him every time I would cast my rod. :Rofl

On a lighter note. I gave away 2 cases of bait, made a couple of kids smile, met a great new fishing buddy and didn't cut my finger off. LOL
